Finals and BKT

Finals
Finals were crucial this semester. Especially by it being my first time taking summer classes. Hence the reason for my absenteeism. Also I've finally come to the realization that I will have to sacrifice and purchase a digital camera if I wish to document and share my progress with as much clarity as I wish I could.

BKT
So I took pictures and... they didn't do justice of how my hair looked IRL.After the treatment which took forever. I noticed a slight difference in my curls, but really not much at all. I still have the same curls with a little less shrinkage. Which in my book is a plus especially when we consider that my hair on the sides, at the top, and in the back are very loose and practically straight especially on the sides and at the top. I am extremely glad to say that those have not changed at all. The one thing that I am extremely thrilled about with this treatment is the reduction in bulkyness. My hair is still as thick as it was but it doesn't appear to be as thick and I think this may have been caused by the keratin's ability to get the curls to appear healthy and clump together. I wish I had clear pictures to show you all the results. Because of this reduction my hair is easier to manage and it doesn't take me an hour to detangle. Lately I have been going Wash N Go crazy. Well actually I've termed it Rinse N Go. I'll share more on that in another post.

My SO loves my Rinse N Go's. Also because I now get less shrinkage SO doesn't come around saying I can't believe you cut your hair. Also on the plus side my hair in the back is nearing the length it was before I cut my hair. However there will not be an official length check until December or whenever this first BKT wears off if I decide to do it again. The main reason why I would do it again would just be for the manageability. It is so much easier to pull into a ponytail, detangle, and just about do anything. Also the shine is amazing. It really doesn't do much to straighten my hair, but everything else is cool. Thats also including the flat iron. My hair still gets poofy. I'll talk more about this latter. I just wanted to do a really short update.

Also, I do have a few posts I have coming up including product reviews on three Dominican hair care products, info on my Rinse N Go (might include tutorial), info on twist out, and what may be coming next. Also, after I do my second BKT I will do an official product review on Soft-liss' Keratin Treatment.

With all that said ... Peace, Love, and Please No Hair Grease! Petrolatum and Mineral Oil have no nutrients and just sit there. Try Extra Virgin Coconut Oil or Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
